Capital Fund Program (CFP)
The Capital Fund Program (CFP) is a federally funded initiative under the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) that provides financial resources to public housing authorities (PHAs) for the development, modernization, and rehabilitation of public housing properties. The Housing Authority of the City of Calexico (HACC) utilizes CFP funds to enhance the safety, functionality, and longevity of its housing developments, ensuring that residents live in quality, well-maintained communities.
Purpose of the Capital Fund Program
The HUD Capital Fund Program is designed to:
✔ Modernize and improve public housing units through renovations and infrastructure upgrades.
✔ Address critical health, safety, and accessibility concerns for residents.
✔ Support energy efficiency and sustainability improvements in housing developments.
✔ Ensure compliance with federal housing standards, including NSPIRE inspections and building regulations.
✔ Provide funding for major repairs, including roofing, plumbing, electrical systems, and structural enhancements.
Contracting Opportunities
HACC regularly contracts with local vendors, contractors, and construction professionals for projects funded under the Capital Fund Program. These projects may include:

🔹 Roofing, painting, and exterior repairs
🔹 ADA compliance modifications and accessibility improvements
🔹 Landscaping and site enhancements
🔹 Interior renovations, flooring, and cabinetry installations
