Teri Nava, Executive Director

Ms. Nava was appointed as the Executive Director (ED) of the Housing Authority of the City of Calexico (HACC) in December, 2015.  In her capacity as Executive Director, Ms. Nava oversees and is responsible for 256 Public Housing Units, 244 Section 8 Vouchers, 39 Multi-family units and 39 Affordable Housing Units with a total annual budget of $4.2 million.  Recently, acquired 80-unit Senior Apartments Tax Credit Project.  HACC became independent of the Imperial Valley Housing Authority in 1987 with a continued mission of providing safe, decent and affordable housing to residents of the City of Calexico. 

Ms. Nava oversees a staff of 19 employees who assist in providing and maintaining Public Housing; Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) Program; Multi-Family; and Affordable Housing for the residents of Calexico.  Under Ms. Nava’s direction, HACC is working to expand development and increase new construction of significantly needed residential units.   

Prior to joining HACC, Ms. Nava served in various management and administrative roles within Imperial County and Kern County.  She is passionate and committed to providing quality housing and social services to those in need and joining the HACC has allowed her the opportunity to do the work she loves.
